Rush has just released a couple of great items! The first is a digital EP called Caravan, which contains two songs, "Caravan" and "BU2B." You can either purchase the songs individually, or you can purchase the digital ep which contains both songs and a digital booklet. Rush will be playing these tunes on their current Time Machine Tour, and both songs are a great indication of where the band is headed with the new studio material they've been working on! The next item of interest comes once again from Rush! Yes, the lads have been rather busy of late, and have produced a excellent and in-depth documentary called Beyond the Lighted Stage, covering the history of the band from its very beginnings to the current day. There is lots of rare photos and live footage, including filmed performances of the band with original drummer, John Rutsey. This documentary is a fascinating study of a rock band who has been largely underground and under-appreciated throught their history, but have still managed to rise above it and become immensely successful. The dvd also has about an hour and a half of bonus interviews and footage. This is a great film for any rock music fan or musician and comes highly recommended.
